Project Engineer for Consumer Products

A leading global consumer products company needs a PROJECT ENGINEER for its production facility in the Greenwood, SC area.

The Project Engineer is responsible for managing, driving and leading preparation and implementation of capital projects in the factory through the cross functional team cooperation and following CP capital expenditure budget standards. The Project Engineer will be responsible for assigned projects from concept to finalization.

BS Degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial Engineering is required. Need at least 4 years experience in GMP ;manufacturing with an emphasis on project management/engineering from project concept through implementation. Knowledge of CEB Capital Procurement. Working knowledge of EOHS and Quality standards.

Converting Supervisor-Georgia

A production facility in the Savannah, GA area that manufactures corrugated packaging products needs a CONVERTING SUPERVISOR.

The position reports to the Manufacturing Manager and has responsibility for the direction of production employees on a rotating shift. Position is on third shift and requires weekend and holiday work as customer demand dictates. The position is also responsible for implementing and maintaining systems, driving manufacturing improvements as well as leading, coaching, motivating and engaging the work teams to accomplish operational objectives.

Must have 3-5 years of supervisory experience, preferably in the packaging industry with converting equipment and operations experience. Strong leadership, organizational and comm skills are required.

Starting salary range for this position is $70k-$80k. Full-time benefits and relocation assistance available.

PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR-South Carolina

A manufacturing plant in the Sumter, SC area needs a Production Supervisor.

Will provide leadership in a facilitator role to assigned technical and hourly associates to achieve departmental quality, quantity, service, cost and safety goals. Instructs and facilitates training of associates in the performance of their job in a safe and efficient manner, Coordinates weekly production schedules with Material Control to assure timely issuance of work orders and materials. Coordinates the department preventive maintenance program to assure equipment is properly maintained to minimize downtime and meet FDA, EPA and OSHA requirements.

BS or BA Degree required and minimum of 2 years supervisory experience preferably in an industrial environment. Previous high speed manufacturing experience in a technical or lead role highly desirable. Must display potential and desire to move to higher management levels within 3-5 years.

Process Equipment Engineer-Georgia

A Company in the paper/packaging/container industry located in Covington, GA needs a Process Equipment Engineer.

Responsible for the continual development and improvement of the Foam Thermoforming manufacturing processes. Create and maintain accurate engineering/process documentation such as line conditions, PLC programs, HMI programs, etc. Direct involvement with process improvement, equipment repairs and installation projects.

Should have experience with the mechanical and electrical aspects of plastics process(extrusion and thermoforming) equipment. Should be able to help troubleshoot problems with the maintenance team and be able to provide equipment performance improvements. BSME, BSEE or BS Controls Engineering preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Starting base salary is in the $95k-$120k range. Full benefits.

CUSTOMER ORDER ENGINEER-NORTH CAROLINA

ABOUT THE JOB:

A manufacturing in the Asheville, NC area needs a LEAD CUSTOMER ORDER ENGINEER FOR THEIR LOW VOLTAGE ASSEMBLY PRODUCT LINE. This is a new position.

This position is responsible for accurately interpreting complex customer specs and translating them into drawings and bills of material understandable by Purchasing and Manufacturing.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

Will develop a variety of complex drawings and bills of materials which provides sufficient detail to accurately convey the customer’s equipment application. Will interface with customers and internal manufacturing departments to coordinate production of equipment. Will coordinate mechanical and electrical interfaces with other company products. Will  consult with plant and field sales engineers in interpreting and defining new equipment applications. Will direct customer visits to approve or release equipment.

REQUIREMENTS:

Must have a BSEE or BSME Degree. Must have a minimum of five years electrical design/test experience in a manufacturing environment. Must have knowledge of Low Voltage Assemblies products. Excellent knowledge of power distribution, controls equipment/systems and PLC programming skills.
